Hospitality Asset Management & Successful Disposition
Regeniam professionals, while at a previous advisory firm, led the restructuring and asset management of EcoFutures Belize and served on its Board of Directors, in the largest real estate receivership in history of the FTC. The $150M portfolio spanned over 14,000 acres of coastal and inland rainforest and included the Sanctuary Belize, Kanantik, and Plenty Tract properties, as well as two private Caribbean islands totaling more than 18,900 acres.
Regeniam professionals oversaw the reconciliation of more than 5,000 loan and ownership records, stabilizing operations and assets, and resolved complex title and lien issues involving over 2,200 owners and claimants.
Working closely with the court-appointed FTC representatives, a data-driven framework and software platform that unified legal, environmental, and financial data was implemented, establishing transparent valuation and claims resolution process.
The repositioning integrated 2,200 planned residential and hospitality units into a scalable, eco-living platform emphasizing conservation, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism. More than 5,000 acres of forest were preserved and reforested within the Maya Mountain corridor, connecting wildlife reserves and the Jaguar Preserve.
The effort transformed a distressed real estate master plan into a landmark land preservation transaction, demonstrating how disciplined restructuring, data synthesis, and environmental stewardship can unlock economic value for investors, as well as and ecological value in the Caribbean & Global South.
